And some studies show that more than 20% of adults in the United States identify as lonely\, isolated\, or both.  \nFamily Life Educator Robin Ridgley will help us understand the difference between social isolation and loneliness and identify risk factors. We will meet at noon at Piney Creek Ravine. We need clear skies to view the rock art. We will post on our FB if the date changes or is cancelled\, or you can sign up below to receive an email. Please be advised this can be a difficult hike. \nLength: 2.25 mile loop\nDifficulty: 3.5 out of 5. Several elevation changes up and down the bluffs. Several areas can be muddy. Creek crossings are extremely slick\, use caution. Several stream crossings could involve wet feet if the water is flowing high.\nThings to know:  No restrooms at trailhead. Leashed dogs allowed. As a photographer and hobbyist archaeologist\, Mr. Chervinko has visited and captured many of the most beautiful historical sites in the region. \nSpeaker Mike Chervinko from Carbondale will discuss the prehistoric activity in our area’s past with specific emphasis on petroglyphs. Mike is an RN with a passion for\nphotography and archaeology. He has published two books and has done work for the State of Illinois. He has successfully gained access to public and private properties in\nSouthern Illinois and Southeast Missouri to view and capture the petroglyph work of the indigenous peoples of our area. Come see the results of his most interesting work and\nbe ready to be amazed.
