Fines:
- There are no daily fines for overdue material.
- Overdue materials which have been declared “lost” will be charged to the patron’s account as follows:
- Replacement cost of the item (to be waived if the item is returned in good condition).
- Processing fee in the amount of $5 per item (must be paid even if the item(s) are returned).
Fees:
- The Chester Public Library offers free library cards to all patrons who reside within the city limits of Chester.
- There is a $55.00 non-resident annual fee for families who live outside the city limits.
- A lost or damaged card will be replaced at a fee of $3.00 per card.
- Damaged barcodes will be replaced at a fee of $1.00.
- Single-sided black and white photocopies are $0.25 and double-sided copies are $0.35.
- Color copies are $1.00 per page.
- FAX service is available at $1.00 per page for sending or receiving.
- Laminating service is available at $1.00 per page or free if you bring your own pouches.
